What is AkiSol’s general cancellation policy?

All reservations are effective from the moment the guest receives an email with the reservation confirmation and has paid 20% of the vacation rental price in advance. In the case of Mid Term Bookings (28 nights or more) the processed payment will be 1 month.
All reservations can be canceled if the cancellation is done more than 5 weeks in advance. If a reservation was canceled less than 5 weeks in advance, the guest is not entitled to claim their advance payment back.
If you intend to cancel your reservation after checking in, you will lose 100% of the vacation rental price. In the case of Mid Term Bookings (28 nights or more), as a penalty, the owner may also activate the amount charged for security deposit. There are exceptions to this policy related to the scenario of State of Emergency that may be in effect in the country of the reserved property.

How can I cancel my reservation?

To cancel your reservation, please get in contact with AkiSol by email and follow the instructions given for cancellation.
The cancellation is only effective from the moment you receive a notification from AkiSol that the reservation has been canceled.
In case you are entitled to a refund, once your reservation is canceled and if you are entitled to have your advance fee back, AkiSol will return you the money to a Paypal account and will not be responsible for the commissions fees applied regarding payment processing.
In case you are entitled to a refund and once the reservation is canceled, the advance payment will be returned by Paypal or directly to the payment method usedto make the reservation, and all payment processing costs will be charged to the guest according to the payment terms of the chosen system.
There are exceptions to this policy related to the scenario of State of Emergency that may be in effect in the country of the reserved property.

What happens if the vacation rental owner cancels my reservation?

If the vacation rental owner cancels your reservation due to reasons of force majeure, the owner is required to provide equivalent or superior accommodation for the dates of the reservation. In cases where it is not possible to provide an alternative solution for the guest, the advanced payment will be returned in full by AkiSol and all processing costs are AkiSol’s responsibility. If there are any other losses or compensation fees that guests believe they are entitled to have, they should contact the owner directly – who is responsible under the general terms and conditions – to assume full liability.

Can I cancel my reservation after checking in?

Yes, it is possible to cancel your reservation after check-in. However cancellations after check-in are not entitled for a refund.
If for any reason you are not happy with your vacation rental and would like to cancel your booking after checking in, please immediately contact the AkiSol support team by email to help you solve your problem the best way possible.

I made a reservation using a voucher. Can I cancel it?

Yes, it is possible to cancel a reservation made using a voucher. However, these cancellations are not entitled for a refund. 100% of the voucher amount will be charged and cannot be used for future reservations.
